Story
Since 1983, we've been shipping packs of specialty apples to all fifty states and parts of Canada. The idea for Applesource grew out of our frustration in trying to select varieties to plant in our own orchard. The best description, drawing, or photograph can't convey the unique quality of each variety. What we really wanted was an actual apple to see, touch, and above all, taste. That's what you can experience through Applesource.
The Variety List briefly describes the 75 varieties offered in Applesource's 2004 mail-order brochure. We include a packing grid identifying and describing each cultivar in every pack of apples along with suggestions for an apple tasting party.
To start your own apple-exploring adventure, order the SAMPLER or EXPLORER PACK, both of which can be found on our Apple Products page. These also make great choices for gift-giving.
